Sudah pernah dengar nama La Maison Patisserie? Trust me,
this name will blow up through the roof sooner or later.
Mungkin bagi orang Medan, La Maison Patisserie bukan nama
yang asing lagi. Patisserie ini berasal dari Kota Medan yang didirikan pada tahun
2011, hence the name ‘Est. 2011’. Patisserie ini kemudian membuka cabang di
Jakarta pada awal tahun 2017, tepatnya di Grand Indonesia East Mall, Rama Lobby
UG Floor.
Lucky for me, I had the chance to explore the shop while I
was in Jakarta.
The Shop and
Architecture
Great ambiance, grand concept
Branding yang luar biasa untuk sebuah brand lokal. Warna
ungu yang dominan di eksterior outlet acts as a good eye-catcher to everyone
who walks by. Penggunaan marble-pattern yang mendominasi memberikan kesan
mewah. If I didn’t know better, I could’ve thought this shop as a foreign
brand.
Seating is provided in the store, but not much. Ada tiga
meja disediakan di belakang etalase, dan beberapa high-chair di pinggir area
outlet. Jadi bisa banget untuk istirahat sambil menikmati dessert yang
disediakan.
The Food
Etalase Cakery
La Maison menjual banyak variasi dessert, seperti cake,
brownies, cake pops, and macaroon. Tapi yang paling menarik hati adalah etalase
macaroonnya. Seneng banget ngelihat banyak pilihan rasa dan warna macaroon La
Maison. Gemes!
Etalase Macaroon
After looking, a bit drooling if I must say, aku mencoba box
set of 6 macaroons dengan harga Rp. 115.000. Macaroon juga dapat dibeli dengan harga Rp. 20.000/piece.

These are good stuff! Macaroon La Maison memiliki rasa yang tidak
terlalu manis. Light and aery are best described the macaroons. It has crunchy
texture in the outside, but chewy and soft in the middle. Fillingnya juga tidak
terlalu berat. Bikin nagih! Kalau ngga ditahan, aku bisa habis 6 macaroon in
one sitting. See? It was that good.
My favorite? It was salted popcorn macaroon. Sedikit rasa
asin di dalam butter filling dan macaroon yang manis, creating a perfect
balance of sweet and savory in this macaroon.

It was a pleasant afternoon, enjoying a box of macaroon in La
Maison Patisserie. I will definitely come again for the tasty macaroons.
